Hi there, I'm Sylvia and I established the Brookline After School Program in 1994 after realizing that before and after-school care was my passion. The Brookline community welcomed me with open arms, and we have been in constant collaboration towards building a loving environment for students since. My mission is to provide consistent, quality, education, entertainment, and support to your children. I am still a firm believer that children need time to be children in a safe and loving environment that encourages independence.
Hello, I'm Jo-Ann. I have been working with children for nearly 3 decades now. I raised my own children and worked at the Waldorf school for many years. After many years of loving my work with children, I became credentialed as a teacher in a Waldorf-inspired childcare center. I love encouraging children to explore their personalities through the Arts, whether that be painting quietly or acting out a scene with me. Playtime in the woods is very important to me, as I believe children need to decompress with nature at the end of a school day.
Hello! My name is Megan and this is my second school year working in Brookline (I also work with kids in Townsend!). I am originally from just outside of Boston but I am currently going to SNHU for Communications with a focus in Social Media. Out of work, I love going to concerts and spending time with my cat, or any animal really. I believe individuality and creativity are the two most important things in life. Dyed hair, tattoos, piercings, loud music, crazy outfits, I love it all. With that, I hope that every child work with feels comfortable expressing themselves at the end of the day. I can't wait to meet everyone!
Hi, I’m Melissa, and I am Assistant Site Director at CSDA. I have been working at the After School Program for 3 years. I enjoy teaching kids about the outdoors, arts and crafts, STEM, and so much more. My mission is to facilitate a comfortable space for kids to become more independent, learn, be supported, and participate in open ended play. Outside of work, I like to spend my time hiking and being in nature. I also enjoy jewelry making, watercolor, and anything crafty. I attend Nashua Community College and I am working towards my associates in Human Services. I look forward getting to know your kids and helping them grow this year!!
Hello! My name is Christina and I am 17 years old, in my senior year of high school. I have been working here since I was coming out of my sophomore year the summer of 2022. I have always known I've wanted to work with kids since I was young. I have many younger cousins and have always found myself on “entertain the kids duty” during family gatherings. ASP has been the perfect job for me to do after school, but next year I will be majoring in elementary education, hoping to get my master’s degree and start working as a teacher.
